We visited Magnetic Island from 20th March 2021 to 27th March to celebrate our mate Rachel’s 50th Birthday there.
We had a wonderful time in the island, which included lots of bushwalking and swimming at the beach and pools:
and parties. The first one was on the beach on the actual birthday evening. We had great fun with gorgeous Ria at the Hawaiian themed beach party:
I made a small birthday cake for Rachel. It was a small Banana cake filled with dulce de leche (caramel sauce) and pineapple, and covered with Chantilly cream:
The second birthday party was at a very fancy restaurant in Nelly Bay:
One of the top highlights of the whole trip was the half day boat tour around the island organised by Rachel. The tour operator was just amazing, and we had the perfect day cruising around the island, snorkeling on the most wonderful spots, and having great fun:
Last day with the group was at Townsville. We hired a car during the morning, and together with Ria and Deb drove up Castle Hill to get some shots, and drove to Charters Towers to check out the old gold mining town. Charters Towers was not as interesting as I had expected, but we went back to Townsville and stayed the rest of the day at our hotel swiming in the pool, eating and drinking with the group:
Beautiful photos of such a very special week with gorgeous friens and family. Thank you so much Raul and Michael, especially for the amazing birthday cake xxx
