Hello Dance Therapy team:You’ll be proud of me! I started with “100 Beaches + Take-3 Challenge” today. My mate LeAnn Hanson launched this great challenge with her group of friends, and it’s open to anyone. The challenge is to visit as many beaches from the “Shoalhaven 100 Beaches” and while there, pick up at least 3 pieces of garbage from the beach and dump it into a local garbage bin. Before dumping the garbage collected, and if possible by the sign with the name of the beach, take a selfie and send it out to friends to promote the challenge.I had a good start at 2 beaches: Collingwood Beach and Orion Beach, Jervis Bay. Here are 2 pictures to document my visit and take-3 contribution (a bit more than “3”, got a full garbage bag, and these beaches are cleaned constantly because they are frequented by tourists to the Shoalhaven!).
Also, after my beach walks I went for an adventure and discovered an amazing bush track full of flowers (of course, we’re in Spring) and a wonderful view of Jervis Bay, St Georges Basin, etc.
I parked on Braidwood Road and Syringa Road (just 3km south pass the Turpentine Road intersection). Then you can walk Syringa Road until it ends, while doing that enjoy the incredible Wild Waratah garden (many of them, plus many other wild flowers). At the end of the track (just 2km walk, easy and flat), follow the “pink ribbons” to the cliff edge for the most beautiful views !!!
Strongly recommended: “maximum enjoyment for minimum effort” !!!
Have you been there? If not, give it a visit in the next few days while the waratah’s will still be in bloom.
