We had a small group attending yesterday's dance session but we still managed to have fun dancing, and we made some decisions to share with the group too.
Attendees were: Lia, Melva, Sue D. & Cole and Michael & Raul in person at the Annex; and we have Stephanie & Duncan on the other side of the ZOOM meeting joining the start of the session.
We danced Jerusalema, La Bicicleta (zumba, at both 80% and 100% speed!), Waka Waka, You Should be Dancing (disco), Zorba, Valle Pogonishte, Pearly Shells (hawaiian) and ended with The Chicken Dance (new one! for fun only).
Besides dancing a lot on a very warm Annex hall, we made the following decisions to run by the larger team:
1) Raul will prepare a new choreography to teach the group next week – something simple and catchy (like Jerusalema) that we can quickly learn in 1 session and dance together
2) Monday 13th December will be the last dance session of 2021 (we'll stop for the holiday season and the hot summer days) – We will close the year with a dinner party for all group members and their partners. The suggestion was to go out for dinner, to a nice local restaurant. Suggestions were:
a) Gerroa Boat Fishermans Club (Seafood) – a bit too far for most, perhaps no
b) Pelican Rocks Cafe at Greenwell Point – maybe?
c) The Growers at the Worrigee Sports Club – bad feedback from the team, perhaps no
d) other ideas? we need your input please!
So far, (b) Pelican is winning but we'd like to hear from the group with other suggestions. The idea would be to meet there at 6pm on that day and have our party, eat and drink, and if possible dance (if the restaurant permits!).
Send us your feedback please !! See you Mon 8th Nov for our next dance session.
