Hello members of the Dance Therapy Group:
I am sure you are fully aware that our dance group has been in ICU for many months now, probably since the start of COVID and the lockdowns … after a number of attempts to “bring it back to life” it is just not happening, so the members of the group committee (Stephanie, Teresa and Duncan) have decided that it is time to let our Monday dance sessions go, and allow everyone to move on to new things.
We have received council details with a refund for the amount of rent prepaid by Stephanie while we could not access the hall due to the lockdowns; and when asked by the council if we would renew our booking we said NO for the 2022 season. Stephanie is checking the council numbers, and when done we will know exactly how much money we will have left in the kitty, but we will have a few hundred dollars there.
The group committee decided that those funds would be placed to help pay for the costs of the YEAR END / XMAS DINNER PARTY at The Butter Factory on Thursday 16th December 6:30pm – Now this event will also become our farewell to our dance therapy sessions. We hope everyone will be there to celebrate the wonderful 3 years we had together dancing and having fun !!
Also, the group committee hopes that this will be the end of the GROUP THERAPY GROUP, we have made great friendships through the group and we hope we stay connected through the year. With that in mind, we will keep the [email protected] email alive, so that emails could be sent there and reach all group members. Also, starting from January 2022, 1st week of every month an email will be sent out to [email protected] to remind the whole group to plan a monthly activity to catch up. Let's do that guys !!
Our last Monday night dance session will be on Monday 13th December 6pm. If you are unable to make the dinner party on Thursday 16th December, please make sure you attend the last dance session !! That'd be great !!
COVID-friendly Hugs and kisses to all
Raul and the Group Committee (Stephanie, Teresa & Duncan)
Oops … typo corrected:Where it reads:”that this will be the end of the GROUP THERAPY GROUP”It should read as:”that this will NOT be the end of the GROUP THERAPY GROUP”Sorry guys.Raul Raul Arregui[email protected]0418273504On Thu, 11 Nov 2021, 9:13 am , <[email protected]> wrote:
Many many many thanks, Raul, also special thanks to all our dance instructors, who have introduced us to a wide range of dance cultures, challenged our brains and bodies (at the same time !!)…. Thanks also to all for the opportunity to make new friendships and reconnect others, with lots of fun and laughter, and parties too.Though “Dance Therapy” on Monday nights at the Annexe may end, we are really looking forward to continuing all the other “therapeutic benefits” and to varied spontaneous events to be shared.Big hugs to all – see you soon.DuncanOn Thu, 11 Nov 2021 at 09:13, <[email protected]> wrote:
That is really sad news Raul but it’s understandable. Hope I get to still come to some of the events as this group was a good way to get out in the community, meet people and do what I love but unfortunately work got in the way of that. Unfortunately I will not be able to make the Christmas party.Thank you for everything RaulGabie xxxSent from my iPad

Thank you very much Raul for organising Dance Therapy .I had a wonderful time learning new dances and connecting with wonderful people while part of the group. Dressing up with you all was lots of fun .Now I enjoy being part of my choir , singing each Monday night so I won’t be joining you for your final dancing session tonight.I would like to continue catching up for regular social events, please keep me in the loop and I look forward to seeing everyone at the Butter Factory in December, Cheers Sue xoSent from my iPadOn 14 Nov 2021, at 2:08 pm, [email protected] wrote:
