Hello All,
The program for the multicultural event was released without checking with us at all … they slotted us for dancing “South American Dances” at 8:10pm with each of our names next to that:
We cannot do that because:
1) we dont dance “South American Dances” (we do Armenian, South African, Cameroonian and Hawaiian dances) ; and
2) we have other commitments to attend after 7pm (Sue Huntsman is attending a concert in Nowra 7pm; Michael and I are attending the Nowra Players play at 8pm; etc.)
So, I have contacted Jayne to see if she could do the Hawaiian set on her own, and she is happy to do that. She will talk to the MC to let them know that there won't be a “South American Dances” performance by us; due to the performance time changes by the event organisers there will only be a “Hawaiian Dances” performance by Jayne.
If you are able to attend tonight's event anyway, you can still attend as it will be a wonderful event. I am very sorry we were not informed of the time any sooner than by 2pm today … otherwise we'd love to be there and do the dances. If you can make it, please stay to see Jayne's performance too !!! Jayne would love that very much.
