PLEASE READ/REPLY: Wanna dance at Harmony Week event on Sat 18th March?

Hello All:

We have been invited to dance at the Harmony Week event funded by the council, scheduled for Sat 18th March, to be held at the park behind the council building in Nowra (Sawkins Park). The event will run from 10am to 4pm, and we could ask for a time to dance that works for us.

The event organiser is Suzanne Hammond-Warne, and she’s very keen to have Dance Therapy Group represented at her event (there will be many other groups dancing, singing, etc). 

Suzanne has seen Jayne perform at previous events, and she recommended that the HAWAIIAN section could be a separate section from the Dance Therapy Group section of the show, then we could help Jayne dance in the background if Jayne is interested but Jayne could ask for audience participation too.

I thought that we could do 3 dances then: GORANI, VALLE POGONISHTE and ZORBA. 

If you are keen and agree, we need to lock in days to practice these three dances, and we need a minimum of about 8 people to dance so that we are a big enough group. 

I have seen that the Annex is available 5pm-7pm on Wed from next week (Wed 8th Feb) and for 6 consecutive weeks ending Wed 15th Mar; which would be perfect for having weekly rehearse sessions to be ready for the event on Sat 18th Mar. 

The cost to hire the hall is about $240 and if we’re 8, we could pay $30 each to cover the costs of hiring the hall.  

First of all, we need to know if we have enough people to dance who are also able to rehearse every Wed from next week to mid March:

Please get back to me ASAP on this !!! Hope we can make it happen, and if we do perhaps we could “resuscitate” our old Dance Therapy Group after this event, and dance together again !!!!
