Hello All:
We had our 1st dance practice session at the School of Arts Annex in Nowra today, and it was a great success !!!
Attendees were nine (9): Alison, Bev, Melva, Sharon, Sue, Suzi & Peg, Michael & Raul
Teresa and Margarita were unable to attend, but we hope they’ll still be able to join a future practice, and dance with us on the day (Sat 18th March)
We rehearsed Gorani and Valle Pogonishte, and we danced them very well. By the end of the night we were almost totally comfortable with these dances — Well done everyone!!!
After that, we then proceeded to start Zorba, using the video tutorial from Margarita, and we practiced more than half of all the steps, we only have 2 steps and then the circle steps. We practiced it all with music and all, and everyone did great. We managed to do all the basic-steps too !!! Well done guys!!!
We even had a chance to dance La Bicicleta (Vallenato) with the Zumba choreography we learned, and that was fun too.
We’ll continue again next week’s Wed 5:30pm at the Annex. In the meantime, just in case the council requires me to have details for all members of our group, could you please complete the membership form attached and bring it next week? Alternatively, you could complete it online or scan it, then send it to me via email to [email protected]
Also, I paid $204 to the Council to hire the Annex for the 6 weeks. If all those rehearsing on Wed could please transfer $20 to my bank account, I’d appreciate that very much (BSB 732083 – ACCT 546781 – ACCT NAME R.Arregui).
To those who are not dancing, if you want to have fun with the gang just come to the Annex on Wed and catch up with the group. It was so great to see everyone!
