HELLO FROM ARGENTINA

Posted on October 20, 2025October 20, 2025 By Dance Therapy Group 5 Comments on HELLO FROM ARGENTINA
Hello Dance Friends!
WOW, so glad to hear dancing sessions are going so well, even with the high heats reported there! All is well here, we had my Mum's birthday, and we've been touring Buenos Aires a bit too now that we got on top of the jet lag (first week we were not sleeping at all! now we're much better).
I'm sending you a few photos about my family celebrating with my Mum on her 82nd birthday, and about us just having fun in Buenos Aires:
image.png
These are the names of everyone in the photo (going anti-clockwise): me, my brother Javier (one of the twins), my Mama (Stella), Michael, my brother Ezequiel (the other twin), my sister-in-law Claudia (Javier's partner), my first cousin Daniel, my brother Fabian, my sister-in-law Sandra (Fabian's partner) and a family friend Rosana (who has taken care of my Mama for years).

We caught up with Marisabel and Tom at a small café in a traditional neighbourhood of Buenos Aires for lunch. They are visiting Argentina too! And they promise to return to the dance group in 2026 !!!!
Also, here is the link to a short video of the opening of a local tapas restaurant where we found a band of Spanish pipes performing on the street, we almost started to dance ELVIRA to the tunes !!!! Should have done it, and we'd be on local T.V. !!!!

Have the most wonderful time on your Halloween Party next week, and please send pictures !!!
Huge THANKS to Peg and Max for keeping the group dancing, and to all the dance instructors too.
Hugs from Argentina.

It was quite a hot night tonight but in spite of that we got through alot of energetic dances.

Max had arrived early and had opened all the doors and windows and the fans were in full force giving us some relief.
We danced, Elvira, Di Murgale Di, Pata Pata, Jerusalema, Shivers, Murder on the dance Floor ( thanks Lou and Max)  Ya Tabtab, Gorani, La Bicicleta, and Jayne led us through Tamoure and a new dance that she is working on that was great, to the Johnny Farnham song Touch of Paradise. I think we also did, You should be Dancing at the beginning with just the 4 of us. At the end we did Jaynes wind down to Lakme, and Telissa and YuYus friend showed us some Tai chi moves or something similar?
Present were, Suzi, Max, Peg, Lou, Pam, Kathy, Marie, Josie, Zanthi, Telissa, Yu Yu, and their friend (name?) Courtney, Bev, Sue, Jules,  Denise,  Laura, Erfan, Elenor, Liam, Clancy, Dan, Wren, Banjo,
Next week we are planning to have a Halloween theme night so if you're into it you can get dressed up in a outfit of your choice ( or not) and please bring a plate (with food) and a drink. If you could put a small label on your food to identify what it is that would be great. Thank you everyone and see you next monday. Max and Peg

Hi Raul, Wonderful to hear from you and meet your lovely family. We’ve had a fun weekend over at Canberra visiting my Grandson Louie and watching friends participate in the Dragon-boating Masters competition. They even had a fabulous colourful dragon dance done by local kids, lots of fun. Our Monday night Dancing is going strong ,. New faces and new choreographies are keeping it a fabulous time.
