Hello Dance Therapy friends:

We were 21 tonight: Alison, Clancy, Dan, Banjo, Wren, Erfan, James, Jenny, Kathy, Lou, Laura and Justin (guest), Max, Michael, Peg, Suzanne, Suzi, Telissa, Teresa, Tina and Raul.

We danced a total of 16 choreographies, some kind of record: COTTON EYE JOE, DI, MURGULE, DI, FIESTA TUNGUSIA, GOOD LUCK BABE, HOEDOWN THROWDOWN, JERUSALEMA, LA BICICLETA, LION KING CIRCLE OF LIFE, MANCHILD, MEN IN BLACK, MURDER ON THE DANCEFLOOR, SHIVERS, THE PIRATE DANCE, WAKA WAKA, YA TABTAB, and YOU SHOULD BE DANCING.

We danced our 3 new choreographies tonight:

FIESTA TUNGUSIA (Peg),

HOEDOWN THROWDOWN (Max) and

GOOD LUCK BABE (Raul); and we are doing great with all of them. Well done team !!!

After the dance session, we visited the AUSTRALIAN HOTEL where we had dinner and a lot more fun.

Remember that this weekend is the Milton music festival, most of the performances are FREE of charge, and our friends Suzi & Peg will be performing with their band INSPEKTOR GADJE (Sat 2nd May 1:30pm at Jack Joy Living, located at 41a Church St, Milton). If you want to join us let us know, a few of us will be dancing to their tunes there.

This is next weekend, it's massive, it's exciting and it's free. Suzi and I are playing with our band InspeKtor Gadje @ Jack Joy Living @ 1.30 in Milton, but also there are many other fantastic musicians in every genre playing over the 3 days.

Hello Dancers,

We were 17 tonight: Erfan, James, Jenny, Jenny, Julie, Karen, Laura, Lisbeth, Max, Michael, Peg, Shane, Suzanne & her friend (name?), Suzi, Telissa, and Raul.

We danced only 10 choreographies; DI, MURGULE, DI, FIESTA TUNGUSIA, GOOD LUCK BABE, GORANI, HOEDOWN THROWDOWN, LA BICICLETA, MANCHILD, MURDER ON THE DANCEFLOOR, SHIVERS, and WAKA WAKA.

The reason why we only managed to dance 10 choreographies was that we did 3 new songs tonight! Two were new ones that Peg and I had presented to the team a couple of weeks ago (FIESTA TUNGUSIA and GOOD LUCK BABE), but tonight we had a brand new one by Max: HOEDOWN THROWDOWN. Max taught us the whole choreography so well, but by the 2nd time we did it was got it all down (THANKS MAX!).

IMPORTANT:

We decided that we will have a dance session on Mon 27th Apr (next week) even though it is a public holiday.

REMINDER-2:

Mon 27th Apr is the last Monday of the month, so we will head to the AUSTRALIAN HOTEL after the dance to have dinner (I will confirm the hotel will be open just in case, if not we will find an open place to dine for sure).

I just wanted to let you all know that there is a concert at Tomerong hall next weekend, which will raise funds for the bushcare group responsible for looking after the Mahogany Creek Reserve in North Nowra.

DANCE SESSION Mon 6th Apr (Good Monday)

Hello Dance Therapy Friends:

We had a great session, but as expected we were a smaller number than normal due to the holiday. However, we made the most of the dance session anyway !!!

We were 14: Alison came with guests Richard, Issy, and Jess with her beautiful children; and we also had Kathy, Max, Michael, Pam, Peg, Suzi, Telissa, Teresa, Tina and Raul.

We danced only 8 choreographies: COTTON EYE JOE (to ELVIRA steps), FIESTA TUNGUSIA (new by Peg), GOOD LUCK BABE (new by Raul), GORANI, JERUSALEMA, MANCHILD, MANIAC, WAKA WAKA.

The reason we were only able to do 8 choreographies, is that we learned 2 new choreographies tonight !!!

Peg taught us the dance steps to Fiesta Tungusia (Haris Pilton), a Balkan dance that Peg created for us (Thanks Peg!).

Then, I taught the group the steps to Good Luck, Babe (Chappell Roan) with a choreography created by Green Line Dance.

Both choreographies were a hit with those dancing, and we look forward to showing them to more group members next week !!!
