Hello Dancers!
We have another great dance of fun & dancing tonight! We were 24: Alison, Bev, Clancy, Dan, Banjo, Wren, Courtney, James, Jayne, Jenny, Jenny, Kathy, Karen, Laura, Max, Michael, Pam, Peg, Sue, Suzi, Teresa, Tina and Raul.
We also had a visitor from QLD who heard the music and ask to join, her name is Brenda, and she might come back to visit next time she's travelling through Nowra (she loved it!).
We danced 16 choreographies: CALM DOWN, COTTON EYE JOE, GORANI, LA BICICLETA, LION KING CIRCLE OF LIFE, MANCHILD (SABRINA CARPENTER), MANIAC, MEN IN BLACK, MURDER ON THE DANCEFLOOR, PATA PATA, SHIVERS, THE PIRATE DANCE, VALLE POGONISHTE, WAKA WAKA, YA TABTAB, and YOU SHOULD BE DANCING.
After the dance, some of us went to the AUSTRALIAN HOTEL for our monthly dinner. The dishes were all AMAZING tonight at the pub, even the specials of the night (schnitzels) were HUGE and delicious! I think the Aussie pub is sharpening up in preparation for the renovations and make-over, we heard on the grapevine that when done the pub will look like new, and perhaps they'll bring back live music and other events to the hotel. Stay tuned!
OMG, we have three birthdays in the team this week. I wanted to say something at the dance session and completely forgot. Apologies guys! Join me on wishing a very HAPPY BIRTHDAY to: Telissa (Tue 31st Mar), Lisbeth (Wed 1st Apr), and Sue (Thu 2nd Apr).
Michael has organised a fun event for Easter Sunday (Sun 5th Apr) at 5pm (sharp! don't be late!): Sunset Drinks to celebrate the End of Daylight Saving !!! it will be at the beautiful Illaroo Lookout. Directions: drive Illaroo Rd to Bugong Rd, then go right to continue on Bugong Rd until the entrance to the Bugong National Park (3.3km from the start of Bugong Rd), turn left to enter the park and follow the road until the intersection with Illaroo Firetrail (1.9km from the entry to the park), turn left to take the Illaroo Firetrail and follow it until the end at the carpark (2.5km, see map image above here). Then follow the trail for about 100m to the lookout, it's an easy walk, and the views from the lookout are incredible! Don't be late, as it'll be dark by 7pm-ish, we'll be there until it starts to get dark only. Bring whatever you want to eat to share, and whatever you want to drink, and we'll see you there!!!!
Next week's session is on Easter Monday (Mon 6th Apr) and we checked with those at tonight's session to make a decision if we'd have a dance session or not (traffic could be heavy on the highway with holiday makers returning to Sydney). The majority decided for the YES, we will run the dance session on Mon 6th Apr with those who can make it, those who cannot no worries and we'll see them the following week! So, if you're happy to come Mon next week, we'll see you at the ANNEX 5pm !!!
