It’s hard to tell which onboard space best represents Carnival Splendor — they all seem to hint at the amazing time you’re going to have. El Morocco Lounge hosts comedy shows, musical performances, karaoke and more… and wears its 1930s namesake clearly on its nameplate. The words “Royal Flush Casino” incite visions of winning, while our onboard jazz club — The Cool — simply says it all without saying a word. And Fahrenheit 555™ can be found not only at the height of elegant dining, but at the actual apex of the ship.
If you like your fun to flow, there are options aplenty. If you list “splishing” and “splashing” among your favorite things to do, there’s Carnival WaterWorks™. Those into sitting and sliding are invited to try the all-new Green Lightning thrill- slide. How about floating or swimming around? Carnival Splendor has pools all over the place, including the midship pool featuring a retractable roof that makes any day a pool day. So whether you splish or splash, you’ll find hydro-excitement galore.
If relaxation is your thing, Serenity Adult-Only Retreat™ is more your place. Or if you’re looking to take relaxation to the extreme, direct your attention to the Cloud 9 Spa™, featuring more (and better) ways to kick back than just about anywhere else, on land or at sea. You haven’t lived until you’ve relaxed in a Thalassotherapy pool, or chilled — so to speak — in a dry heat chamber.

Carnival Ticket Contract
BAGGAGE, PERSONAL PROPERTY, PROHIBITED ITEMS, LIMITATION OF LIABILITY
(f) Carnival reserves the right to confiscate, destroy and/or turn over to authorities these or any other items it deems in its sole discretion to be detrimental to the
safety or comfort of any person or which are otherwise improperly in the possession of any Guest.
HOW MUCH LUGGAGE CAN I BRING?
To help you plan, we suggest you limit your luggage to a maximum of one bag per person if you’re travelling on a cruise of 3-5 nights, and to no more than two bags per person, for cruises of 6 days or longer.
In addition, you must personally carry-on any boarding documentation (passports, Visas, I.D), valuables, medications and any items which require special handling.
To fit neatly in your stateroom, each bag should be no bigger than 140cm x 60cm x 40cm. Each checked suit case and carry-on suit case should not weigh more than 32kg.
Your Carnival Cruise Lines luggage tags will be included with your eTicket. Please ensure one (1) tag is printed, filled in and attached to each piece of luggage prior to arriving at the terminal on the day of departure. These tags will enable delivery of your luggage to your stateroom.
There are no luggage trolleys available at the terminal.
Separate Carry-On Bag
Your suitcases will be delivered directly to your stateroom on your behalf. However, as these may not arrive until later in the day, we suggest that you take a small carry-on bag with a change of clothes, swimming costume and any medication you may need.
Sun, Rain and Bug Protection
A few protective items keep cruisers comfortable on board the ship and on land. To guard against harmful UVA and UVB rays, pack sunglasses with UV lenses, sunscreen with an SPF factor of 30 or more and a brimmed hat. Also, consider bringing Aloe Vera or your preferred after sun lotion.
In the event that you are going on a snorkelling tour, you need to remember to only bring eco-friendly sunscreen, as most tours now only allow that type of sunscreen on their excursions. In case of rain, stay dry with a small umbrella or light raincoat, and prevent bug bites with some travel-sized mosquito repellent.
Make sure you also bring plenty hats, caps and beanies.
Clothes
Bring everyday casual clothes for day wear, include some smart casual options for the public lounges and restaurants. Don’t forget something smart for Cruise Elegant dinners.
We suggest dress trousers, dress shirts, sports jacket, tuxedos even, for the men & cocktail dresses, pant suits, elegant skirts and blouses, ballgowns even, for the women.
The number of Cruise Elegant evenings will be determined by the length of your cruise:
-
6 Night or longer cruise: two Cruise Elegant evenings
We also hold theme nights on each cruise where you have the chance to dress up and join in on the fun planned. Don’t forget to pack your costume or props.
The number of Theme Nights is also determined by the length of your cruise:

WHAT ARE THE ADDITIONAL CHARGES AND HOLDS I CAN SEE ON MY CREDIT CARD/BANK ACCOUNT?
On embarkation day, a bank hold of between $100 and $200 in the onboard currency will be placed on your nominated credit or debit card to ensure the card is valid. Please note that while we release all holds at the end of the voyage, your individual bank’s terms and conditions apply and some banks can take up to 30 days to release the held funds back to you. You simply provide this Card when you are purchasing anything on board and it gets added to your account.
Note: Eftpos works only with the Australian ATMs in port and cannot be used at ATMs onboard.
CAN I SET UP MULTIPLE SAIL & SIGN CARDS LINKED TO MY ACCOUNT, FOR EXAMPLE FOR MY CHILDREN?
Yes, you can set up a separate Sail & Sign card for your children or others in your group to use.
If this is linked to your credit card/debit card account, you are responsible for paying this at the end of your cruise.
It is possible to set a spend limit on all Sail & Sign cards linked to your account.
We recommend this if you are travelling with children/others using your account. You can set the limit up at the Cash Desk or Kiosks.
A liquor and beverage consumption policy was created in order for Carnival to be able to control the liquor consumption of minors and the quantities consumed that lead to the disruptive behaviour of others on board.
What items am I not allowed to bring?
Prohibited Items:
-
Alcohol (hard liquor) and beer
-
Wine or champagne beyond the allowable limit of one 750 ml bottle per adult (18 years of age or older)
-
Non-alcoholic beverages in containers other than a can or carton; excessive quantities per person (over 12 cans/cartons per person); excessive size per can/carton (over 375 ml each)
Can I bring a bottle of water?
Carnival’s Liquor and Beverage policy states that the guests are prohibited from bringing water, sodas and other non-alcoholic beverages on board that are packed in bottles.
What is Carnival’s liquor and beverage policy?
Guests are prohibited from bringing water, sodas and other non-alcoholic beverages that are packaged in glass or plastic bottles.
On embarkation day, a small quantity of non-alcoholic beverages (i.e., sparkling water, sodas, energy drinks, juice, and milk), packaged in cans or cartons, may be brought on board and must be in the guest’s carry-on luggage. A small quantity is considered a maximum of 12 sealed, unopened cans/cartons of 375-ml each or less, per person.
Guests are prohibited from bringing alcoholic beverages on board with the following exception – at the beginning of the cruise during embarkation day only, guests (18 years of age and older) may bring one 750-ml bottle of sealed/unopened wine or champagne, per person, in their carry-on luggage. Outside this exception, all liquor, beer, other forms of alcoholic and non- alcoholic beverages are strictly prohibited in both carry-on and checked luggage and such items will be confiscated and discarded and no compensation will be provided. Guests sailing with us on back-to-back cruises are entitled to bring the same quantity as stated in this policy, per cruise. The additional quantities will be stored for safekeeping at the start of the first cruise and will be given to the guest as each following cruise begins.
Corkage Fee:
Should guests wish to consume their wine or champagne in the main dining room, specialty restaurant or bar, a $15.00 AUD corkage fee, per 750-ml bottle, will be charged. A corkage fee is a charge that is assessed, at time of service, for every bottle that is served and not bought on the premises.
Large cooler restrictions:
Carnival Cruise Line does not allow guests to bring large coolers on board its ships. However small, personal-sized coolers, no larger than 30x30x30cm for the purpose of housing small quantities of non-alcoholic beverages and/or medications are permitted as carry-on luggage. Screening and movement of large coolers through embarkation is an impediment to the boarding and security screening process. Therefore, large coolers are not permitted as carry-on or checked luggage.
Ports-of-Call:
Alcoholic beverages of any kind purchased in any Port-of-Call will be retained at the gangway, stored on board and held by Carnival until the end of the voyage.
Drinking Alcohol on Board:
The minimum age for the purchase and/or consumption of alcoholic beverages in the bars, lounges and gift shops is 18 years of age. In the event that Bar/Restaurant/Gift Shop staff are in question that a guest is less than 18 years old, they shall request picture identification, prior to serving the drink or selling the bottle of liquor.
Carnival reserves the right to refuse the sale of alcoholic beverages to anyone.
Carnival recommends that you take a read of the Department of Foreign Affairs website Smart Traveller prior to your cruise, to get an understanding on why travel insurance is important.
There are some things you should consider before choosing your insurance:
-
Australian waters. If your cruise isn’t leaving Australian waters, you still need travel insurance for your health. You may be unable to claim Medicare or private health insurance on the ship. Check before you go if your ship has a Medicare-accessible doctor on board.
-
Your planned activities. Your insurance needs to cover your onshore activities and shore excursions. Adventure activities may not have the same safety standards as Australia.
-
Medical evacuations. Make sure you’re covered for medical evacuation at sea. The cost of medically evacuating a patient from a cruise ship by helicopter can be in the $100,000s.
No matter how healthy and fit you are, if you can’t afford travel insurance, you can’t afford to travel. The Australian Government won’t pay for your medical expenses overseas or medical evacuation costs.
Be aware when organising your insurance that uninsured travellers (or their families) are held personally liable for cancellation, medical and associated costs incurred at any time whether before the cruise, on board or overseas. Hospitalisation costs on board or outside of the country and medical evacuation costs are very expensive and are not covered by Medicare or private health insurance. Daily hospital bills can cost as much as AUD 5,000 per day. All consultations, treatments and medications are charged at private rates.
Please note that some countries may require guests to hold international travel insurance and guests may be required to present this at check-in. Guests who do not hold international travel insurance when a country requires, they do so may be denied boarding. Please check the requirements on each country when booking.
Carnival Cruise Line is dedicated to the safety of all guests and crew. We want all our guests to have a safe, fun and memorable holiday.
Smoking is a fire and safety hazard on a ship. Consequently, it is strictly limited to specific exterior deck areas that can be monitored. All guests are expected to adhere to the following safety guidelines:
All staterooms and suite accommodations, including outside balconies, are NON- SMOKING. This policy applies to all forms of smoking, including but not limited to cigarettes, cigars, pipes, vaporizers, electronic cigarettes and marijuana.
Carnival recognizes that some Australian states and territories may permit the use of medicinal marijuana under certain circumstances. However, Carnival Cruise Line’s policy strictly prohibits possession and use of recreational/medicinal marijuana and other illegal controlled substances.
Any violation of this policy will result in a $500 charge, per violation, posted on the guest’s Sail & Sign® account and may also result in the disembarkation of all guests in the stateroom.
Guests who are disembarked for violating our policy will be responsible for all financial charges and expenses to return home, and no refund of their unused cruise fare will be provided. Additionally, they may be prohibited from sailing with Carnival Cruise Line in the future.
Our smoking policy is included in Carnival’s Cruise Ticket Contract.
TOBACCO & MARIJUANA SMOKING POLICY – FREQUENTLY ASKED QUESTIONS (AU)
There are lots of open areas on the ship. Why can’t guests smoke wherever they like in those open areas, including balconies and decks?
Smoking is both a fire and safety hazard. We have designated certain exterior deck areas for smoking. It is necessary to strictly limit smoking to areas that are frequently monitored by our crew. Our policy is focused on providing a safe environment while giving some options to our guests who want to smoke.
What happens if a guest is caught smoking in a stateroom or balcony?
They will be assessed a $500 charge, per violation, on their Sail & Sign® account. Information on this charge is included in Section 8 of Carnival’s Cruise Ticket Contract. The assessment of this charge does not allow a guest to continue smoking in his/her stateroom. If a guest is found to be in violation of our smoking policy, all guests in the stateroom may be disembarked from the vessel and risk not being allowed to sail on Carnival in the future. Guests will be responsible for all financial charges and expenses to return home, and no refund of unused cruise fare will be provided.
What should guests do if they smell tobacco in areas where smoking is not allowed, or marijuana in any area?
Guests who are concerned about other guests violating our smoking policy should contact our onboard Guest Services team, so we can address the situation. This will help avoid uncomfortable situations between guests.
How does this compare to the smoking policy of other cruise lines? Carnival’s smoking policy is consistent with the policy of other major cruise lines. How does the policy apply to Carnival crew members?
Crew members are strictly limited to smoking in designated, exterior areas of the ship.
With the legalization of medicinal marijuana by some Australian states and territories, does Carnival recognize that some guests who might possess medicinal marijuana are not violating any law?
Carnival recognizes that some Australian states and territories might allow medicinal marijuana use under certain circumstances. However, Carnival Cruise Line’s policy strictly prohibits possession and use of recreational/medicinal marijuana and other illegal controlled substances. Violation of this prohibition is grounds for disembarkation.
What if a guest has a letter from a doctor saying that they are allowed to use marijuana for medicinal and/or therapeutic purposes? Why is that prohibited?
Marijuana on our ships is not allowed. Guests will need to consult with their physician for other suitable alternatives.
What happens if a guest gets caught smoking marijuana?
Any illegal substances will be confiscated and the guest will be reported to the appropriate authorities. Additionally, the guest may be subject to a $500 charge, risks being disembarked from the ship and may not be allowed to sail with Carnival in the future.
MEDICAL CONDITIONS/MEDICATIONS
All medical conditions or medication must be advised at the time of booking. We want you to be safe and comfortable on your cruise. You may want to bring a few extra days’ supply in case of any unforeseen delays.
Guest understands and acknowledges that in addition to the limitations in medical care described in Clause 21 of the cruise ticket contract, prenatal and early infant care, in particular, may require specialised diagnostic facilities and/or treatment that are not obtainable during the cruise on board the ship and/or ashore in ports of call. Therefore, any Guest who has entered, or who will at any time during the cruise enter, the 24th week of estimated gestational age in her pregnancy, agrees not to book a cruise or board the ship.
Accordingly, due to the limitations in medical care, both on board and in various ports of call, women who have entered their 24th week of pregnancy at any time during the time of the cruise will not be allowed to board or sail with the ship. Any pregnant woman who attempts to board the vessel who has entered her 24th week of pregnancy, or who will enter her 24th week of estimated foetal gestational age at any time during the cruise, risks denial of boarding and/or disembarkation without compensation or refund.
BRINGING PERSONAL MEDICAL EQUIPMENT ON BOARD
To ensure your medical equipment will work onboard, please advise your Travel Agent or our Cruise Contact Centre at the time of booking. We will then send you an information sheet and may ask you for more information. For safety reasons, your equipment will need to be checked prior to boarding.
ADDITIONAL INFORMATION ABOUT PASSPORTS, VISAS AND VACCINATIONS
Passports
-
For citizens of other countries, please contact your relevant national authority.
Visas
Please contact your Travel Agent, relevant consulate or embassy or an online visa service for more information.
Vaccinations
Please contact your doctor or an approved public health travel advisory service such as the World Health Organisation (www.who.org), the Department of Foreign Affairs and Trade or Smart Traveller (www.smartraveller.gov.au).
Australian public health authorities strongly recommend that all cruise ship passengers travelling in the winter months, receive an influenza vaccination at least two weeks before the start of their cruise. It is important that you see your doctor 6-8 weeks prior to departure to discuss and plan all necessary travel vaccines, including the influenza vaccine.
WHAT SHOULD I DO IF I SUFFER FROM MOTION SICKNESS?
We recommend you consult a healthcare professional prior to boarding. You can prepare by purchasing medication or special magnetic wrist bands before you leave home. Motion sickness can also be treated onboard; medication is usually available for purchase and treatment can be provided by the ship’s doctor.
Any charges from the onboard medical centre will be added to your Sail & Sign Card and you will be provided with an itemised account to submit to your travel insurance company.
Mobile phone reception is available onboard. A compatible mobile phone and a service plan capable of roaming internationally with Maritime Communications Partners (AS) is required. Make sure you check with your service provider for applicable charges before you depart.
INTERNET CAFE / WIRELESS INTERNET SERVICES (WI-FI)
Yes! Satellite Internet access is available via Wi-Fi throughout the vessel (including your cabin) and in the Internet Café.
Internet Café
The Internet Café is open 24-hours and features individual terminals for your privacy. For your convenience, the Internet Café Manager is available for assistance during posted hours.
Internet Café terminals run on Windows XP and are limited to Internet communication. Terminals are equipped with Microsoft Office readers only, not full versions of these programs (WORD, EXCEL, etc); most files can be accessed as “read only” for viewing purposes but cannot be edited or saved. Please note, on your personal laptop you can read, edit and save files without restrictions according to the programs installed.
Wireless Users – Laptops and other Wi-Fi equipped devices
Got a laptop, an iPad, or a netbook? Got 802.11 a/b/g/n wireless capability (that’s just geek speak for Wi-Fi)? The Wireless Internet Service is compatible with a Wireless 802.11b card, which is the industry standard. You may use your personal laptop while onboard, your iPhone and all other Wi-Fi equipped devices and most software installed on them without restrictions. VPN access on the other hand is restricted to connections of the type, which are not IPSec or PPTP connections. Kindly discuss your VPN limitations with your company’s IT department if you are planning to work while sailing. We are not able to change your settings onboard.
Pricing
Pricing plans vary by ship based on itinerary. Some ships offer pay as you go per minute rates and bundled time plans. Others have daily and per cruise plans. The full list of available pricing options is available online before you go via Cruise Manager or via the HUB App once on board the ship. Please consult the internet login screen or request information at Guest Services. Internet plans can be used on multiple devices (only a single device can be logged on at any one time). Instructions on how to create an account and pricing details are present on-screen in the Internet Café or on your laptop once you connect to Carnival Wi-Fi. Internet pricing is identical, whether you are using the Internet Café terminals, your own laptop or other wireless devices. All Internet charges will be billed directly to your onboard “Sail & Sign” account.
Before You Go
Get the most from your cruise Internet time and your trip — make sure you’re powered up and prepared before you board the ship with this handy pre-cruise checklist. Here are a few things you want to remember to pack for your cruise:
-
Wi-Fi enabled laptop and mobile devices
-
Power supply for each of the devices you are bringing with you
-
A charged battery for your trip to the ship
-
Data cables to transfer pictures
-
Headphones
-
Laptop privacy screens
Best Practices
-
Email – Convert your email settings to basic; you will have a better experience with less graphic intense content. Most email providers have a lite version of their service optimized for low-bandwidth users.
-
Mobile websites – most websites nowadays offer a mobile interface; they are leaner, less graphic intense alternatives to their main page. Mobile pages load quicker via the leaner bandwidth available onboard and can be accessed regardless of your device: laptop, smart phone, tablet etc. A few examples:
-
Apps – consider using apps; they are tailored for your device and will improve your online experience
-
Browsers – Experiment with alternate browsers for a faster experience: Chrome, Opera, Safari, Mozilla, Firefox
-
Remember to log out
-
Disconnect from Wi-Fi – develop the habit of disconnecting from Wi-Fi when ending your Internet session; leaving your device connected may slow other users’ Internet speed
-
Words associated with leaner content = faster loading time: mobile, text only, lite, no media, low resolution
-
Discuss VPN limitations with your company’s IT department prior to cruising; onboard personnel are not able to change your settings onboard.
NOTE:
Internet access via satellite is a significantly different experience than high-speed connections on shore. Onboard Internet access is not guaranteed at all times due
to the nature of satellite communications, which are subject to occasional disruptions due to weather patterns and location. Accessing E-mail and the Internet in the middle of the world’s oceans is a triumph of cutting edge satellite technology. Our investment into this technology matches some of the most prestigious companies in the world, but even so it cannot be as fast as your home broadband. This is because the data must be transmitted over a slower wireless signal to satellites 22,000 miles above the Earth, which then bounce the data back down to the exchange. At home the data is sent down your fast cable connection to your local exchange, just around the corner from your house. We are continually reviewing our investment to secure you as fast a connection as possible and challenge fjords, glaciers and other grand geographical locations, to provide you with as seamless and consistent a service as possible.
DINING TIMES: SET DINING & ANYTIME DINING
Guests may choose from three different dinner seating options. By popular request, all dining rooms are smoke-free.
Assigned Seating – Early Dining and Late Dining
This dining option offers guests a pre-set dining time for the duration of the cruise as well as the same table assignment each evening in the Main Dining Room. Guests who choose this option will not be able to reserve ‘Your Time’ open seating once on board.
‘Your Time’ Open Seating Dining
‘Your Time’ open seating is offered fleet wide. Guests are seated on a first come, first served basis depending on party size and are able to request a specific waiter. Pagers are provided if there is a modest wait time so guests may relax elsewhere on the ship until their table is ready; in most cases, guests are accommodated within 20 minutes. Advance table reservations are not accepted, and all guests must be present before the party is seated.
Guests may choose:
-
Early dining at 5:15pm;
-
Late dining at 7:45pm; or
-
‘Your Time’ open seating, between 5:00pm and 8:30pm.
-
Dining times are subject to change due to conflict of time with port stays or other scheduled activities. Accurate times are listed in the daily ‘Fun Times’.
At time of booking, guests will be able to confirm their preferred dining choice. If their preference is not available, they may confirm an alternate time and be waitlisted for their preferred choice – there is no guarantee a waitlist will clear. When possible, waitlists will be cleared prior to the sailing and guests will be notified by email. Parties traveling together who are waitlisted together will be cleared on the same dining time.
Cross-referencing bookings does not guarantee parties will be eating together. They must be confirmed on the same dining time to ensure they will be able to dine together.
For those guests who choose Early or Late dining, the assigned dining room and table number will be printed on the guests’ Sail & Sign® card which they receive when they check-in on embarkation day.
In addition, guests may opt for casual bistro dining in the Lido Deck Restaurant or dinner in the elegant Fahrenheit 555 serving fine quality prime steaks and other dishes in an intimate, upscale atmosphere or enjoy the dining experience offered at The Chef’s Table. Please note, specialty dining options have an additional charge.
Parties greater than 8 guests may need to be accommodated at several tables and the wait can sometimes be more than one hour. We highly suggest that parties of 8 or more guests choose an assigned seating (6:00pm or 8:15pm) to assure sitting together at one table or several tables close together.
NOTE: Menu items (excluding Steakhouse Selections) are complimentary in the main dining room. Guests can order a second entrée and keep in mind they can also request half portions if something looks too enticing to pass up. If a third entrée is ordered, a $7 AUD charge will be assessed.
WHAT IF I WANT TO SIT WITH MY FRIENDS & FAMILY IN THE DINING ROOM?
If you are travelling with a large group of friends or family, you should opt for a set dining time of 5:30pm or 7:45pm.
You should ask your travel agent or our reservations team to link your bookings together. Cross-referencing bookings does not guarantee parties will be eating together. They must be confirmed on the same dining time to ensure they will be able to dine together. Parties greater than 8 guests may need to be accommodated at several tables and the wait can sometimes be more than one hour.
We highly suggest that parties of 8 or more guests choose an assigned seating (6:00pm or 8:15pm) to assure sitting together at one table or several tables close together.
WHAT IF I HAVE A DIETARY REQUIREMENT?
Should you have any specific dietary requirements, please email [email protected] prior to your cruise to notify the team onboard. On the first day of sailing, we suggest that you follow this up with the Maître D or your head waiter.
Theme Nights are part of the fun onboard and feature on all Carnival cruises: 3 & 4 night cruises will have one 80s Rock’n’Glow Deck Party.
-
& 6 night cruises or longer include 80s Rock’n’Glow, Silent White Hot Night and Superhero Music Party.
Be ready to dance, sing and party the night away. We do not sell any costume merchandise onboard our ships, so it is best to come prepared and pack something before you leave.
ELEGANT NIGHT – DRESS TO IMPRESS
Get formal photo-ready at our Cruise Elegant evenings. Dress up or suit up in your finest attire and enjoy a night of high class on the high seas. Oh, and remember to say ‘cheese’ when you get your photo with the captain!
Need some tips on what to wear?
-
Men: Dress slacks, dress shirts, and we also suggest a sport coat; men may also wish to wear a suit and tie or tuxedo
-
Women: Cocktail dresses, pantsuits, elegant skirts and blouses; ladies may also wish to wear an evening gown
Not permitted in the dining room:
-
Cut-off jeans, men’s sleeveless shirts, shorts, t-shirts, sportswear, baseball hats, thongs (flip-flops) and bathing suit attire.
The length of the cruise determines the number of Cruise Elegant evenings in the Dining Room. The first Cruise Elegant evening is scheduled for the 3rd or 4th day of the cruise; the second Cruise Elegant evening is scheduled for the 4th or 5th day prior to the end of the cruise, schedules permitting.
3-5 Day cruise: one Cruise Elegant evening.
-
-
Day or longer cruise: two Cruise Elegant evenings.
You are welcome to reward our onboard crew for exceptional service, however,
tipping is not required.

CAMP OCEAN – TURTLES INFANTS UNDER-2: THINGS TO KNOW
We know that even the smallest campers want to have fun! Camp Ocean – Turtles offers special play times for tiny tots, under 2 years, to enjoy. If your child is turning 2 years old during your cruise, they are welcome to join our Penguin group, ages 2 to 5.
Sign In/Out Policy
All children must be registered by a parent/guardian prior to participating in any Youth Programs.
Carnival’s policy is to group children together according to their age. The age is determined according to the child’s birth date.
Parent/guardian can authorize other guests (over the age of 18) during registration in order to sign in/out their children from activities.
The adult is required to present their Sail & Sign card each time they drop off and pick up their child.
Cell Phones
Complimentary cell phones are available to parents/guardians on a case by case basis, priority goes to younger children. The phone is used throughout the voyage, for ship-use only; the range does not extend beyond the ship. There will be a charge to the guest’s Sail & Sign card if the phone is lost.
Safety Information
The Youth Staff will distribute wristbands to all children 12 years of age and younger. These wristbands will indicate your muster station in bold letters and must be worn at all times. As parent/guardian, it is your responsibility to ensure that your child wears the wristband throughout the duration of the cruise.
If at any time during the voyage, a child loses or breaks his/her wristband, replacement bands are available at Youth Facilities or Guest Services.
If your child is participating in a supervised “sign-in” youth activity, in the unlikely event of an emergency, you will be reunited with your child at your assigned muster station. Upon hearing a “Crew Alert” announcement, all activities will stop, and children will be gathered and guided to their assigned muster station. At that time, parent/guardian must proceed to their staterooms (if safe to do so) to collect their life jacket, and that of their child’s, before proceeding to their assigned muster station.
Potty-Trained
Children do not have to be potty-trained in order to participate in Camp Ocean and/or Night Owls. Parents should provide the Youth Staff with nappies and toiletries to be used for their child.
Medication
In case your child requires regular medication while in camp, parent/guardian must return to administer that medication. If a child becomes unruly or ill as a result of parent/guardian not administering medication, the child will not be permitted back into the program. The Youth Staff will not store or administer any medication for any child participating in the Youth Programs with the exception of epi-pens and self-use inhalers (cannot be expired) and glucose tablets, which are permitted in Youth Programs.

Parent/guardian can authorize other guests (over the age of 18) during registration in order to sign in/out their children from activities.
Cell Phones
Complimentary cell phones are available to parents/guardians on a case by case basis, priority goes to younger children. The phone is used throughout the voyage, for ship-use only; the range does not extend beyond the ship. There will be a charge to the guest’s Sail & Sign card if the phone is lost.
Potty-Trained
Children do not have to be potty-trained in order to take part in Camp Ocean or take part of the Night Owls services. Parents must provide the Youth Staff with nappies and toiletries to be used for their child. However, children over the age of 5 or over 50lbs will not be changed by the Youth Staff. Parent/guardian will be provided with a phone and must sign the child out of activities and change them. The child may then return to activities.
Safety Information
The Youth Staff will distribute wristbands to all children 12 years of age and younger. These wristbands will indicate your muster station in bold letters and must be worn at all times. As parents/guardians, it is your responsibility to ensure that your child wears the wristband throughout the duration of the cruise.
At that time, parents/guardians must proceed to their staterooms (if safe to do so) to collect their life jacket, and that of their child’s, before proceeding to their assigned muster station.
